04.25.07 CALCASA denim day at the capitol
CALCASA was helping to put on the annual denim day at the capitol and I volunteered to photograph the event. Every year this event is held at the capitol because of a law that was passed in 1999 in a European country. It was determined that a woman who was raped, and wearing jeans was partly at fault because of how hard jeans are to get off. The logic was that the woman wearing jeans had to help her rapist take off the jeans. Pretty ridiculous. They had a great turn out, along with some of our states top lawmakers.
